Exhibition to the 150th anniversary of birth of the author and painter Joseph Anton Schneiderfranken
Görlitzer Sammlungen für Geschichte und Kultur invite you to an exhibition dedicated to a extensive work of a well-known author under the spiritual name Bô Yin Râ (1876–1943). This well-recognized writer and painter lived in the years 1916 - 1923 in Görlitz, where he decisively formed cultural life and in 1921 he founded an art association named Jakob-Böhme-Bund. The exhibition at a treasury of a baroque house presents historical edition and rare first prints of his 32-volume works from the 1920s and 1930s. The exhibition is complemented by audio interviews and spoken text samples that bring visitors closer to the author's deep spiritual world, to which even world thinkers such as Eckhart Tolle still relate today
Tip: With one ticket, you can also visit the permanent exhibition of the author's paintings and graphics in the Modern Gallery in the nearby historic Kaisertrutz fortress.
