In 1927, the Zittau artist Bruno Lademann presented the entrepreneur and textile manufacturer Friedrich Wilhelm Wagner with a portfolio of 34 drawings and watercolors to mark Wagner's 70th birthday and 50th anniversary of his service. These artworks, of documentary value, vividly illustrate the history of Friedrich Wilhelm Wagner's company and its various locations up to that year. The cabinet exhibition offers a selection of drawings from this portfolio, allowing visitors to explore industrial history through an artistic lens.
The cabinet exhibition connects the themes of art and industry, presenting not only Lademann's drawings but also additional visual and textual material about the individual factories and individuals from the holdings of the Zittau City Archives and the collection of the Zittau Municipal Museums.
