In the middle of a tranquil island in Brittany, lifelong friends Jean-Jean and Henri learn that one of their fellow villagers has won the main prize in the lottery. They secretly investigate to find out who the lucky winner is... only to discover that he has died from the shock of the sudden win. They hatch a cunning plan to get their hands on the money. But they soon realise that they need the villagers - who all want their slice of the cake, of course - on their side to fool the lottery company and put their daring plan into action...
