For a few days, Liberec transforms into a city of crystal. The "Crystal Valley Week" festival presents the best of glassmaking, jewelry making, and costume jewelry from the entire region. Look forward to exhibitions in dozens of locations, interactive workshops, extraordinary installations, and the unique "Crystal Tram." The highlight of the program is the nightly fashion shows in the industrial setting of the tram depot, where original creations by designers, art schools, and renowned brands come together.
Selected highlights from the program:
Exhibitions: at the City Hall, Naivni Theatre, Zoo, MUZA, F.X. Šalda Theatre, Cozy Studio, Botanical Garden, Café Bar Praha, Liebieg Palace, and other locations.
Crystal Square (Nám. Dr. E. Beneše): daily from 10:00 AM, live demonstrations by glassmakers and jewelry makers, with the opportunity to try glassblowing or glass grinding yourself.
Christmas House: daily glass and bead workshops for children and adults.
Crystal Tram (free of charge): a historic carriage as a mobile gallery traveling through Liberec and to Vratislavice nad Nisou; designed by the Jílek glassworks in the style of the Orient Express.
The majority of the program is free and offers a fantastic opportunity to discover the beauty of glass and craftsmanship in the heart of the Crystal Valley.
