

The Veterinary Museum presents field veterinary kits from the equipment of the German, Soviet and Czechoslovak armies from World War I to the 1950s. It is a unique and authentically preserved testimony to the care of animals serving in the army.
For example: a kit for detecting and treating animals affected by chemical warfare agents a narcotic kit designed to tranquilize service dogs a model of a horse used as a teaching aid for bridling and saddling a horse a Czechoslovak kit for treating carrier pigeons contemporary cynological equipment
Visitors will also learn about the current use of the so-called Lower Castle at Grabštejn and its surroundings by the Czech Army. Those interested in the tour will also learn about the dramatic story of Grabštejn's war hero - the military dog Athos, who took part in the mission in Logar, Afghanistan.
The tours always start at 11 am and 2 pm. Reservations are recommended. Tickets for the tours can also be purchased online.
