The past meets the present, Baroque meets beat: on the 350th anniversary of the death of Baroque composer Andreas Hammerschmidt (1611–1675), Baroque works from Zittau are heard as they have never been heard before – in their original form and in bold, cross-genre new compositions.
A project ensemble brings the spirit of the Baroque era into the here and now together with composers Winnie Brückner and Benedikt ter Braak. With voice, electronics, jazz, and early music, a sound cosmos emerges that builds bridges between the spirit of optimism following the Thirty Years' War and our own times of change.
A concert evening full of heart, temperament, and the unexpected – for anyone curious about a sonic journey through time.
