The International Song Competition "Bolko von Hochberg" offers young singers & pianists (duos) with a focus on classical art song the opportunity to present their talent to an expert jury and meet like-minded peers from all over the world in the European city of Görlitz-Zgorzelec. In addition to cash prizes, winners and finalists get the chance to participate in concerts in Saxony and Poland. The song competition is conceived as a German-Polish and European cooperation project and takes place every two years in the border region. The jury and partner institutions connect the two neighboring countries of Germany and Poland.
In 2026 (on the 100th anniversary of the death of composer Bolko von Hochberg), the semi-finals and finals will exceptionally take place in Jelenia Góra, Poland. Travel and accommodation in Jelenia Góra will be organized by the organizer. Repertoire of the third edition of the competition: "Folk song and sacred song".
