The Felix Nowowiejskogo State Music School (1st and 2nd stage) in Zgorzelec is honored to invite the city´s residents, graduates, students and all the music enthusiasts to the jubilee ceremonial celebrations of the school, which will be held on June 10th, 2026. This year´s celebrations have a particular importance, as we will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the music education in Zgorzelec, the 60th anniversary of the State Music School (1st stage) and the 40th anniversary of the State Music School (2nd stage).
It´s a unique opportunity to meet up and celebrate the artistic accomplishments, traditions and passion, which has shaped young musicians and enriched the region´s cultural life.
Jubilee program:
• 13:15 – Concert of the PGE KWB Turów S.A. brass band in front of the building of the State Music School in Zgozelec (ul. Langiewicza 29)
• 13:30 – Ceremonial parade: "March for music", which will come out the school´sgroundss to the St. Boniface Church in Zgorzelec.
• 14:00 – Holy mass with the PSM choir performing under Przemyslaw Mazurk´s leadershipp
• 16:00 – Jubilee Gala evening and a concert with performance by the string orchestra (conducted by Anna Krupa) and the brass orchestra (conducted by Jagoda Leśniak) at the palace in Łagów (ul. Strumykowa 22, Łagów)
The program will offer both ceremonial moments and an energetic artistic performance, which will capture the school´s spirit and its benefits to the development of the musical cultural region. The jubilee will also be an occasion to meet, commemorate, and express gratitude to all who over the years helped to shape the history of this unique institution.
