Visitors agree that concerts by Kateřina Marie Tichá accompanied by the band Bandjeez and a brass section are an uplifting and emotional experience. There is no doubt anymore: a star has been born in Czech pop. Don't miss it!
Vlašim native Kateřina Marie Tichá was nominated for the Czech Nightingale (Český Slavík) award in the Discovery of the Year category in 2013; that same year, she also began a collaboration with the then-newly formed band Jelen, which continues to this day. In 2015, she released the five-song EP Otazníky, and in 2020 her debut album Sami, which was one of the most pleasant surprises on the Czech music scene. The singer followed up her Anděl-awarded debut with her eagerly awaited second studio album, Plamen – the first recorded in collaboration with the band Bandjeez, which she took over following the passing of David Stypka. The new release was again produced by the multitalented Ondřej Turták, and by all accounts, it is one of the musical events of the year. 2024 was a breakthrough year for the charismatic singer. Her album Plamen, released in early February, was one of the musical highlights of the year. The album ranked among the best-selling albums in the Czech Republic, and the single reached the number 3 spot among the most played songs (including international competition) on Czech radio. The 13-stop tour of the same name was sold out, including two concerts at the Lucerna Music Bar in Prague and the Sono Music Club in Brno. Given the unprecedented success of the tour, an additional 18 concerts were added across the Czech Republic.
