The brass ensemble of the Saxony Police Orchestra invites you to a special concert on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at St. John's Church in Zittau. Under the motto "Musical Tips Against Pickpocketing," the event combines musical enjoyment with important information on crime prevention. The concert begins at 5:00 p.m. and ends around 6:00 p.m. Admission is free.
Attendees can expect not a traditional lecture, but a varied and engaging dialogue of music and information. Community police officers from the Görlitz Police Directorate, together with the musicians, will explain how pickpockets operate and what simple measures can help protect oneself effectively.
*The brass ensemble of the Saxony Police Orchestra, conducted by Francesco Bellotto, was founded in 2021. The ensemble presents a diverse program featuring works from the Baroque, Classical, and Jazz periods, as well as modern original compositions for large brass ensemble. The lineup includes five trumpets, two horns, four trombones, and one tuba, complemented by percussion and rhythm instruments.
The ensemble regularly performs at events organized by the Saxon Police and also presents its own concerts. Especially during Advent and Christmas, the musicians are in high demand at numerous events.
The concert in Zittau promises a special experience: festive and melodious music meets practical tips for greater safety in everyday life.
