We invite you to an evening of history, images, sounds, and a meeting centered around experiences from Sierra Leone.
Berenika and Łukasz spent the last month near Tiwai Island Wildlife Sanctuary – a river island on the coast of West Africa, one of the most extraordinary and biodiverse places in the world, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List last year.
And honestly… it's hard for them to return to normal after this trip. To a comfortable European life.
There will be a bit about the jungle. About the night sounds of a forest teeming with creatures and mornings by the Moa River. About people living without electricity or running water, building their own homes, growing their own food, and living much closer to community and nature than most of us can imagine today.
But there will also be something more interesting.
About what we project onto Africa.
And what Africa projects onto us.
All proceeds from the event (free donations) will be used to support the activities of the Environmental Foundation for Africa and the community around Tiwai Island thanks to the hospitality of the Izerska Art Gallery in Kromnów.
