Every great season must come to an end, and this year we will gather together on October 17 to bring our 2026 paddling season to a close. The traditional Locking of the Jizera, during which the paddlers hand over the imaginary key to the river to brave hardy paddlers - who then carefully guard its cold waters throughout the winter. This pleasant autumn meeting includes, of course, the popular "Tamzpátky" race.
The "Tamzpátky" race is an integral part of the Jizera Closing. The autumn route is reversed, the longer the more interesting! It all starts in Dolánky near Turnov, from where the racers will set off on scooters along the beautiful Greenway Jizera cycle path to the Yellow Swimming Pool in Malá Skála. Here they will swap their handlebars for paddles and enjoy a beautiful last swim of the year on the Jizera back to the dam in Dolánky, from where they will have to sprint to the parking lot for the final finish. The race is open to individuals (men, women) and pairs (men's, women's, mixed and teams of an adult with a child under 14). There are always awesome prizes for the fastest runners, including experience vouchers from the SUNDISK family and gifts from event partners.
