What is Pročtené léto
Pročtené léto is a nationwide summer reading event for children and their adults. It helps children find a desire to read and families discover great books for the holidays. Every year, hundreds of children and adults from across the country take part. Pročtené léto annually includes so-called 'Read-through Places' (Pročtená místa), which offer activities and book tips for selected topics during the summer holidays. The Czech version of this event is organized by the Mravenčí chůva project. It follows in the footsteps of the same-name activity led by the organization Krajina čitateľov in Slovakia. The main financial partner of Pročtené léto is the bookstore Martinus.
