What would a summer in Zgorzelec be without the hottest party of the season? The colorful and dance-filled Soundsystem Street Festival returns for the eighth time. Eight is a promising number – flipped over, it becomes the symbol of infinity! Inspired by the Caribbean tradition of street parties, we will again be setting up rows of speakers on the sidewalk, with soundsystems and DJs spreading positive messages and the rhythm of drums and bass.
As always, the event will be colorful and diverse – from the essential rhythms of reggae and dub to drum 'n' bass, jungle, raggamuffin, world music, hip-hop, funk, acid jazz, and electronica.
In these turbulent times, everyone needs a little carefree street dancing. The sound pressure of the speakers helps to relieve inner stress and lighten the soul – this has long been confirmed by respected scientists.
That is exactly what we want to offer you every year. In 2026, you can expect some familiar faces from previous years, new faces, and crews you have never seen before. And a sensational return that wonderfully reflects Zgorzelec's long tradition as the cradle of the sound system scene. Come along, you positive people of all ages, you anti-Babylonians!
