The play is set in the autumn in a 5th-grade primary school class, where five parents have gathered to await their children's homeroom teacher. Emotions are running high; in the first semester, the children's grades have rapidly deteriorated, the atmosphere in the class is poor, and furthermore, the children are awaiting transfer exams for eight-year gymnasiums after the semester.
