On Wednesday, June 17, from 6 p.m., we cordially invite you to the vernissage of the exhibition Castles around Liberec.
Through the stories of individual castles, the exhibition will offer you broader historical, architectural, military, heraldic, and religious contexts. At the same time, the exhibition will bring geological, geographical, social, and even political context. Because a castle is not just a structure in the landscape; a castle is also a strategic stronghold, an administrative center, a dwelling, and a refuge—it could even be the seat of a religious community.
The exhibition presents the castle as a phenomenon, i.e., a general category that manifested itself concretely and tangibly in the given place and time through "Liberec" examples.
