Workshop for young people regarding key aspects of managing multicultural teams. Topics will include: multicultural communication, culture shock, stereotypes, discrimination and tolerance, organizational culture, and the competencies of a multicultural team manager.

From Idea to Industry – lecture by Dr. Eng. Aleksandra Bielawska-Pohl, immunologist at IITD PAN, aimed at primary school students (grades 7-8), secondary school students, and adults, capacity: 180;
A lecture showing the path that inventions take to get from the originator to widespread use in industry or public life. Why does the legalization process for inventions take so long and why can't we speed it up? We will learn if it is difficult to introduce, for example, a new medicine or vaccine, who is responsible for it, and who covers all the costs associated with implementing inventions.
Patrons of the Year 2024: Literary Workshops – workshops led by Aleksandra Kumorek and Joanna Dziurman – librarians at the Municipal Public Library in Zgorzelec, aimed at secondary school students and adults, capacity: 150
The workshops will be dedicated to presenting the works of Czesław Miłosz, Witold Gombrowicz, and Marek Hłasko, as well as introducing their profiles. We will present books by these authors, as well as publications about their lives available in the collections of the Municipal Public Library in Zgorzelec. In the Library's collections, one can find many works by these excellent creators that are no longer so new; some of them have been reprinted in beautiful covers. These books will also be shown to the youth so that they can become familiar with them. These works are worth the young reader devoting a moment of their attention to and realizing that Polish Literature is also worth reading.

Emotions are a tough nut to crack, especially if you can't control them, and that happens to many of us. So it will be about where they actually come from and what gives them such great power. We will return to the roots of emotions, i.e., neurotransmitters, which, by performing their chemical dance in the brain, create our behavior. You are invited!
Polls Without Secrets – on the Art of Data Manipulation – lecture by Dr. Habil. Dorota Szaban, Prof. at the University of Zielona Góra, for secondary school students and adults, capacity: 150
Polls are a source of information about public opinion used by state institutions, private companies, and political parties. Is a poll a tool free of flaws? Does the methodology of data development leave room for data manipulation?
All meetings will take place at the Municipal Cultural Centre (Miejski Dom Kultury) in Zgorzelec, at ul. Parkowa 1. The number of places is limited. Registration is required. Please respect the age recommendations for participants – this will increase the comfort of both lecturers and listeners. An additional option is the possibility of attending a show at the planetarium in Görlitz. On October 26 at 6:00 PM, you will be able to listen to a lecture by Bogusław Samsel and Steffen Reimann "Comets – Vagabonds of the Solar System." Admission is free! Due to the limited capacity of 70 seats, registration is required as mentioned above. When registering, please provide the names of the participants and an email address to which the Planetarium staff can send information about personal data protection and confirm the group's/person's arrival. No age limit, however, it should be taken into account that the show lasts about 1 hour, which is spent in the dark. Address of the planetarium: An der Sternwarte 1, 02827 Görlitz.
