There are places whose history began long before they became clubs. Bunkr is one of them—literally. Beneath the center of Liberec lies a former nuclear fallout shelter that has served a very different purpose since 1991: nightlife.
The oldest music club in Liberec has gone through many transformations over the years, yet it has never lost its unique character. Massive concrete walls, a hall with a capacity of 500 people, and a program that refuses to be boxed into a single category—from rock and metal to electronic music and beyond.
The season runs from September to June. During the summer months, the club slows down and shifts its focus to its outdoor bar and terrace. Either way, Bunkr remains a place that has helped shape Liberec and continues to do so today—a local legend just a short walk from the swimming pool, cherished by generations of residents.
