Česká Kamenice (centrum)
The historic center of Česká Kamenice, a designated urban monument zone, charms visitors with its exceptionally preserved architecture set at the crossroads of three protected landscape areas. The heart of the town is the picturesque Míru Square, featuring a baroque fountain, a renaissance town hall, and colorful burgher houses, from which a network of cobbled streets radiates. These alleys lead visitors to the lookout tower of the Church of St. James the Greater or to a baroque gem, the Pilgrimage Chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. The entire town center, along with the adjacent chateau grounds, stands out for its remarkable coziness and compactness. During the festival, the town transforms into a vibrant pedestrian promenade full of cafes, where the historic genius loci perfectly blends with contemporary culture.
