Where people usually shop, stroll or eat ice cream, suddenly a theatre bus stops: On 23 April 2026 in Görlitz and on 24 April 2026 in Zittau, Stadt. Land. Bühne will bring artistic formats of the independent performing arts from Saxony to public spaces. Theatre, dance, performance and music unfold directly in the urban space and allow the urban environment itself to become a stage.
The Landesverband der Freien Theater in Sachsen e.V. (LFTS) has represented the interests of the independent performing arts and artists in Saxony vis-à-vis the public, politicians and administrations since 2007. Its aim is to continuously improve and professionalise the framework conditions for artistic work in Saxony and to promote networking and the visibility of the independent dance and theatre scene.
