It will be a fun afternoon of music and dancing. The Gustav Brom Radio Big Band under the direction of Vlad Valovic will accompany Marta Jandová, a singer who has become famous not only in the Czech Republic but also on the European music scene. Her hits such as "Colours" and "Školíš me" will be performed on the Liberec square. And the leading jazz and swing singer Jan Smigmator, who in 2023 made his debut as the first Czech jazz singer at the prestigious Carnegie Hall (Zankel Hall) in New York.
The programme also includes the Brazilian drumming show Tam Tam Batucada. Its repertoire includes carnival samba from the regions of Rio de Janeiro and Bahia. Also performing will be dancers from the Liberec Primary School of Arts, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 20258. And the Cikne Rumungre troupe from the Tanvald Roma association will dance.
"We are looking forward to seeing all our listeners, supporters and partners," invites Petra Heiplíková, communications specialist at Czech Radio Liberec. "We will also see them at our traditional event - the Open Day at 1048 Modrá Street on Saturday 16 May. This time, for example, with singer Pavel Vitek. And then on Saturday 13 June, when the 6th annual March to the Královka Lookout Tower will take place," says Petra Heiplíková. All events are free of charge.
