Outer space. Infinite expanses. Everything moves. Everything sounds. Everything pulses. And we are part of it. The ensemble of the Tanzcompagnie of the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater ventures into the universe of space, time, and matter: dancing the cosmos.
This is not a dance evening to sit back for, but an energy field composed of several choreographies. The individual pieces emerge from the dancers' exchange with their respective cultural backgrounds, each like a separate planet, quite different yet part of a common whole. Particles are set in motion, gravity is overcome, orbits meet, systems collide or inspire one another. Energy and balance emerge from chaos.
WELT RAUM is carried by a soundtrack created specifically for this evening: electronic beats, atmospheric sounds, and expansive songs that traverse the space and lift the emotions. The music drives, provides structure, and – breaks it apart again. It is both pulse and resistance.
